Dakota Hart is currently a solo endeavour by singer/songwriter/guitarist Cody Jeffrey and is a modern rock passion project. Based out of Saskatoon, SK in Canada, and originating in Cold Lake, AB, Dakota Hart was formed in 2009.

 

Having never been tied into one style of music, Dakota Hart has been influenced by a wide array of genres from Rock and Punk, to Country and Blues. Inspiring artists include Nirvana, Blink-182, Foo Fighters, CCR, Johnny Cash, The Gaslight Anthem, ZZ Top, and many more.

 

“My love of music started very early on. I think I started singing as soon as I started talking. I started playing guitar and writing music when I was about 14, and it’s been one of the biggest parts of my life since then. I’ve played in several bands over the years, and always took every opportunity to surround myself with musicians who could help me grow as an artist. Dakota Harts debut album “Better Late Than Never” was recorded in July of 2020, and was released on December 21st, 2020, and is available on multiple streaming and digital platforms.
